JOBST® Comprilan® short-stretch compression bandages do not stretch to more than 100% of their original size. Their high stiffness provides firm containment, offering strong resistance against which the muscles can contract.
A desired compression level can be applied at rest, called resting pressure. This pressure then temporarily increases during movement (called working pressure).
This helps to transport the lymph fluid and the venous blood to the center of the body, thereby reducing edema.
Compression bandages can be combined with pads to either increase or evenly distribute the pressure on your affected limb.
